MTG Hobbit Prerelease — Still Running All Week
Prerelease events continue through August 13 at NC local game stores. Full release is August 14. If you missed the first weekend, several stores run mid-week events (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) before street date.

Future Fest Connect Durham — Happened This Weekend
Future Fest Connect ran August 8–9 at the Durham Convention Center — gaming, tech, Epic Games Lab, indie creators, and the Soar Tour flying car exhibit. If you were there, hope it was a good one. Watch for a recap on the GHF NC blog.
Lorcana & Pokémon Update
Lorcana Attack of the Vine — format rotation is now 3 weeks old. The Christopher Robin — Hunny Sage multi-ink deckbuilding has started showing up in competitive results. Secondary market prices on key cards are settling.
Pokémon Pitch Black — Mega Darkrai ex Hyper Rare prices have stabilized post-launch. Now is a reasonable window to buy the chase card if you’ve been waiting.
