What Is GalaxyCon Raleigh?
GalaxyCon is a four-day festival of fandom covering comics, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, and cosplay. The Raleigh edition is one of the larger regional conventions in the Southeast, drawing celebrities, voice actors, comic artists, and game creators alongside a full slate of gaming events.

Tabletop Gaming at GalaxyCon Raleigh
The Tabletop Realm is hosted at the Sheraton adjacent to the convention center. Card games, board games, and pen-and-paper RPG sessions run throughout the weekend — whether you’re looking to learn a new game, teach one, or just find a table.
Magic: The Gathering Events
$15,000 cEDH Tournament — Saturday, July 25 at 12 PM
The Clash for Cash $15k Commander event is one of the larger competitive EDH prizes you’ll find at a regional convention. If you’re a competitive Commander player, this is worth the trip. Registration is separate from general admission.
MTG Full Box Sealed Tournament
Crack a full sealed box and battle in a structured tournament format. Available as a gaming add-on alongside general convention access.

Planning Your Weekend
Parking: The Raleigh Convention Center has a connected parking garage on Salisbury St, plus several decks within a 5-minute walk. The Cabarrus Street deck tends to be the best value.
Food nearby: Downtown Raleigh is walkable with plenty of options. Morgan Street Food Hall is a short walk if you want variety without leaving the area.
What to bring: Cash for vendor hall purchases, your own gaming supplies if you’re joining organized play, and comfortable shoes — the convention center is large.
